--- Base version+++ Proposed version@@ -0,0 +1,28 @@+## Suggest a useful change {#sec:contribute}++A **pull request**, or **PR**, is a proposed change to a published note. It lets readers inspect the new text before the corresponding author accepts it. You can use this process to improve this demo.++1. Open the pencil beside a section heading to edit that section and its subsections.+2. Make a small change in the private draft. For example, add the $n=4$ case to @tab:sums, or explain why reversing a sum preserves its value.+3. Write a change description that says what you changed and why.+4. Choose **Review & submit PR**. Read the preview and comparison, then confirm the submission.++The proposal appears under the paper's submissions. It becomes part of the current published text only when the corresponding author accepts it. Editing the whole paper uses the same process and can include changes to several chapters.++A useful change description could be “Added the case n = 4 so readers can check an even value against the formula.” This is an example description, not a record of an existing PR.++### Leave feedback without rewriting++Select a sentence in the reader and choose **Comment & rate**. For an equation or another block, use its plus button. Explain the problem or the point that helped you. Other readers can reply in threads and vote on comments.++For example, a reader could ask whether the pairing argument works when $n$ is odd. The two-row proof in @sec:sum answers that question without leaving a middle term unpaired.++An overall review belongs on the paper's details page. It rates the work as a whole. A passage discussion concerns the selected text. Comments and ratings come from people. AI tools can read that feedback and help prepare a revision, but cannot comment, rate, or vote.++### See what changed++Each submitted snapshot preserves the full paper and has a hash. A PR can contain several snapshots as its contributor improves the proposal. Earlier snapshots remain available, and acceptance applies to the latest one.++The paper's **History** shows accepted versions. **Submissions** also includes proposals awaiting a decision or no longer being considered. Follow a frozen-version link when you want to discuss exactly what a reader saw at a particular time.++This demo does not manufacture comments, ratings, or PRs. Those appear when readers contribute.
